Just a short note to say that the bottle Laura and I sampled on Friday, May 29, began well but finished badly. What I mean is that each sip started nicely--dry with nameless fruit and some spice--but finished with a sour after taste. Steve and Lori, did you try some on Memorial Day?

Tasted the Cheatle / Lewis batch, and the Sclafani batch last night, along with Peter. (James wandered by a little later, but only tasted the Lewis / Cheatle).
No hint of the sour to our tastes, but Dawson / Pace ought to come taste, too. Sclafani's was a little green (not surprising - not oaked yet). Cheatle / Lewis was pretty mellow. Will write in a separate post about the arc we're hoping for and about the different patches the three batches went down this year.
